Students with parents who are involved in their education are more likely to:
1. Score better results
Children tend to score better results when there are parent expectations on their grades. It is important to gently remind your child that they should try their best in their studies.
2. Have better attendance and improved behavior in school.
Parents who are more aware of their child’s behaviour in school and take initiative to improve the necessary areas would encourage better discipline in their child.
3. Adapt better socially and emotionally.
When you communicate about your child’s social and emotional needs with the teacher, you will know how to teach your child to adapt well in school among their peers and within their environment.
4. Be more motivated to do well in school.
Motivation in school is a struggle for many young students and parents are the biggest support for them in this area. If your child lacks motivation, cheer them on while rewarding them for excelling in school.
5. Have better self-esteem.
Children tend to do better in school when parents and teachers cooperate to bridge the gap between the culture at home and the culture at school. This serves as a great moral support from both home and school that would boost a child’s self-esteem.
Q-dees encourage parents to attend every Parent-Teacher session held by schools for the benefit of your child’s personal and educational growth. We hope you have a favourable outcome from your Parent-Teacher session this year!
